Audit
Website audit: checklist + FAQ
A practical overview of what to audit first (tech/SEO/UX) and how to prioritize fixes.
P1 checklist
- Indexing: robots/sitemap, canonicals, redirects, duplicates.
- Errors: 4xx/5xx and redirect chains.
- Speed: Core Web Vitals, mobile UX.
- Tracking: GA4/GTM conversions.
Who it’s for / when it’s not a fit
Who it’s for
- You have traffic/ads, but conversion and leads don’t make sense.
- You need to find the fastest-impact fixes (P1).
- SEO performance dropped due to duplicates/errors/redirects.
- You need a clear dev brief and a 2–4 week implementation plan.
When it’s not a fit
- You don’t have a site yet — start with structure and a prototype.
- No access to analytics/CMS and nobody to implement fixes.
- You want “a report only” without implementation — value will be low.
Next steps
- Align goals and KPIs (leads/sales, CPL/CPA).
- Collect inputs: access, priority pages, competitors.
- Run the audit and build a P1→P2 implementation plan.
- Control implementation + re-check (GSC/speed/errors).
After P1 fixes, speed, indexing quality, and key-page conversion usually improve quickly.
